Paramadina grad students win BMW scholarships

Three graduate students at Paramadina University in Jakarta were selected as the recipients of BMW Indonesia Research and Technology Scholarships.

The recipients are journalists Dyah Sulistyorini and Mohamad Nurhafmi Budiarto from the Communications Studies Program and social activist Muhammad Makmun from the Business Studies Program.
The three were selected after a series of selection procedures, tests and interviews. They were given full scholarships for their postgraduate studies and a chance to be involved in BMW programs such as: internships, mentoring, networking and workshops.

“Developing human resources, science and technology to improve competitiveness is one of the pillars of Indonesia’s economic development master plan that was announced earlier this year. BMW very much understands what a company needs to stay in front — which is skilled and professional human resources,” said Ramesh Divyanathan, President Director BMW Indonesia at the awards ceremony on Oct. 24.

Paramadina University is the second university after University of Indonesia to become partners with the BMW Indonesia Research and Technology Scholarship program.
