Nineteenth
of August – Today, we are seventh semester students have a special agenda to do,
something called upacara serah terima Praktek Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL).
Because we are pre-service teacher (calon guru), so we do our PPL at school, next
I’ll also call PPL as Teaching Practice (TP). And here we are, in SMA 1 Kudus. I’m
coming with 9 friends from English Education Department, and 11 friends from
BK.
Nice to
be here, coz it was my high school. Though I was not a special student, but
coming back here gave me a great feeling. Seeing my teachers, my classrooms,
and every corners of this school remind me to bitter-sweet memories as a
student :) And now, the school building’s whole lot better than three years
ago.
Back to
my story about TP, we arrived there before 8 a.m – beautifully and handsomely. The
students had Independence Day’s celebration. They did some activities and
competitions in the school field, so they had no teaching-learning process in
the classroom. Two teachers welcomed us and said that they couldn't do the
ceremony of PPL today. They asked us to come again the next day. Though we felt
disappointed, but we tried to smile and left the school politely.
We went
to campus then, just wanted to have sharing. Seeing some friends there,
suddenly our lecturer texted the coordinator, and asked us to go back to
school. Oh My God! We had just arrived, but then he wanted us to go back.
In
fact, two teachers who welcomed us didn’t know about PPL ceremonial. Our
lecturer just said it to the headmaster. Ok, then we’re in a room, and listened
to welcoming speech from headmaster and teachers. Little bit sleepy, almost an
hour we had PPL ceremonial. After that we just listened to the rules of having
PPL here from our teacher (guru pamong). They asked us to write our name and
the schedule of our coming. Coz they didn’t want us to come all every day. Then
they left us, gave us permission to go around the school by ourselves.
Don’t
need long times, before Dhuhur I have arrived at home happily. We are still
waiting for our teaching practice’s schedule. Hopefully everything runs
smoothly :) Aaminn...
